Spring Sport Senior Spotlights

Dillon Rice's hometown is Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He's earned seven varsity letters, with three coming from his years on the track team.

Rice was named the team's Most Improved Performer after his first year on the squad and served as Team Captain during his senior year.

For outdoor track, Rice was part of the 4x400m relay currently ranks second, and he ranks third in team history for the 3000m (9:53.44). He also is the only male Forester to have run the 3000m steeplechase since the reestablishment of the outdoor track team in 2018.

On the indoor side of track, Rice is ranked second in the 800m (2:05.57) and holds top times in multiple relays, including the 4x400m and the distance medley.

At the end of the academic year, Rice will hold a bachelor's degree in business.

Sydney Wyatt is a catcher on the softball team from Fairfield, Ohio.

During her years on the team, Wyatt earned Academic All-Midwest Conference honors twice, after both her freshman and sophomore years. She was also named Second Team All-Midwest Conference after her freshman season and First Team after her sophomore season. She served as Team Captain during her junior year.

Wyatt is ranked multiple times in team annals. She is fourth for single season batting average (.484) and ranked eighth for most career putouts (460). She is also tied-for-first for game high plate appearances (6) and tied-for-second for game most stolen bases in a single game (3).

In May, she will graduate with two degrees: one in psychology and one in sociology and anthropology.

Yuka Kawata came to Lake Forest from Ota, Japan and plays for the women's golf team.

She was named the team's Most Improved Performer after both her freshman and sophomore seasons. After her freshman and junior years, she was named Academic All-Midwest Conference, and was named to the Forester Academic Team after her sophomore year.

Kawata is ninth in team history for career average score (97.62).

She will graduate with a degree in business.
