This Week in the Forest: April 20-26

It seems each week there are more and more people adjusting postively to and finding the silver linings of being stuck inside, and the Foresters are no different.

On Saturday, the College hosted a virtual Relay for Life. As highlighted by Vice President Jackie Slaats' on twitter, a few of our coaches got in on the action, especially with the pie-in-the-face contest. The event raised over $18,000 for the American Cancer Society.

Swimming and diving had their awards ceremony via Zoom on Sunday. The whole team (even junior Susan Guo who is currently in Beijing, China!) dialed in to celebrate the season, congratulate the award winners, and listen to senior speeches.

Men's soccer has been getting creative with their stay-at-home workouts. They highlighted some of team's exercises on Instagram for #MondayMotivation.

Finally, like all of the athletic teams on campus, handball gave a shout out to the thing they miss the most about campus being shut down: their athletes.

We truly hope that everything will begin going back to normal for us on campus and across the country soon. If you're sharing and connecting on social media, please tag us and use the hashtag #ForesterFamily so we can see your posts!
