25 Foresters Earn NCHA All-Academic Honors

The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association announced its 2019-0 All-Academic Teams on Thursday and Lake Forest College had 25 honorees, the most in school history.

The Lake Forest men's team had 14 players recognized while a program record 11 Foresters made the cut on the women's side. To earn the award a player must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better.

Thirty-seven players from the league were recognized for the third consecutive season, including Lake Forest seniors Austin Aksoy, Connor Duncan, Zach Feldman, Tyler O'Neill, Jacque Rogers, Sydney Simone, and Julia Unterseher.

Two-year honorees on the Forester men's team include juniors Nolan Carothers, Boyd DiClemente, Kyler Magus, and Aaron O'Neill. Junior Mark DerManulian and sophomores Max Cavallini, Kyle Cote, Josh Giacomin, Will Lebel, and Zach Leonard made the list for the first time.

On the women's side, Lake Forest junior Annie Dalton received NCHA All-Academic honors for the second time and first time honorees included junior Makenzie Kamm and sophomores Grace Black, Emelia Edmondson, Olyvia Opsahl, Samantha Stubbs, Megan Truman, and Abigail Tucci.
