Foresters Sweep SLIAC Player of the Week Honors in Golf

Jack Dwyer and Amanda Lee shared the honor of being the first players in school history to be named St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week in golf on Wednesday.

Dwyer was the men's team's top finisher and tied for 42nd out of 192 players overall at the Midwest Region Fall Classic over the weekend. The freshman finished Friday's opening round with a score of 80 before dropping a pair of birdies while carding a 76 on Saturday. Lake Forest tied for 18th place at the 36-team tournament.

Lee placed third out of 63 golfers at the Marian University Invite over the weekend, posting a score of 81 in Sunday's second round to finish at 173. She was also the top golfer by four strokes in Tuesday's Elmhurst College Fall Invitational and her score of 76 was the third-lowest in program history. The Foresters won both events and set a school record with a team score of 320 on Tuesday.

Both players lead their respective teams in scoring average after six rounds so far this season, Dwyer at 77.0 and Lee at 84.5.

SLIAC Players of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Lake Forest and four other primary members of the Midwest Conference joined the SLIAC in golf this year.
