Diver heath Ogawa makes his fourth appearance at the NCAA Championships and the Forester tennis teams continue their seasons.
Ogawa qualified for the national championship meet by finishing first in the 3-meter event and third off the 1-meter board in the Region 1 Diving Meet March 1-2. He was named Division III Diver of the Year in 2018 after capturing a national title in the 3-meter competition and placing third off the 3-meter board last March. The senior also placed among the top 16 in both events in 2016 and 2017. This year's men's 1-meter event will occur on Thursday and Ogawa will attempt to defend his 3-meter title on Saturday.
The Forester men's tennis team won three of five matches during its Spring Break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina, last week and is now 5-7 on the season. Lake Forest will play a pair of matches on the road this weekend, taking on Aurora University (1-2) at Washington Middle School on Friday and facing Prairie State College (4-3) in an exhibition match at the Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet and Fitness Club on Saturday.
The Lake Forest women's tennis team split four matches in Hilton Head last week and is now 14-2 this year. The Foresters are scheduled to host 12-2 Augustana College at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff Sunday evening, although the weather forecast may allow the teams to play outdoors earlier in the day.
