Wednesday's basketball games at Monmouth College will close out the fall semester for the Foresters.
The women's basketball team won its third Midwest Conference game in a five-day span last Wednesday, defeating visiting St. Norbert College 78-68. The Foresters' overall record is now 4-4 and they tied with Monmouth atop the league standings at 3-0 in conference play. The Fighting Scots are also undefeated overall at 8-0 and they have outscored their opponents so far this season by 16.2 points per game. Lake Forest has won its last seven match-ups with Monmouth, including a 10-point victory at home and a 4-point win on the road last year.
The Forester men's basketball team dropped a pair of games last week, falling to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference this season. Monmouth is also 1-2 in league play and has won three of eight contests overall. Lake Forest won last year's meeting at home but fell twice at Monmouth, once during the regular season and again in the MWC Tournament.
