Diver Heath Ogawa will be making his third trip to the NCAA Division III Championship Meet.
Ogawa, who has finished as high as eighth in the nation in his career, will participate in the 3-meter competition on Wednesday and off the 1-meter board on Friday. He qualified for the national meet by winning both events at the NCAA Division III Region 1 Championships March 3-4. Ogawa has placed first in 20 of 21 events this season with his lone runner-up performance coming by less than a point to a Division I competitor at the UIC Diving Invite in February.
The Lake Forest softball team won six of 10 games last week during its Spring Break trip to Florida and is now 9-5 on the season. The Foresters will take on the University of Wisconsin-Stout (10-2) in their home opener this Saturday afternoon, althouth Stout will be the home team. Lake Forest swept the Blue Devils 6-4 and 8-2 at home last season and lead the all-time series 3-0.
UPDATE: Due to the weather forecast, this Saturday's softball doubleheader has been re-scheduled for Saturday, March 31, at 11:00 a.m.
After dropping a pair of matches in California last week, the Forester men's tennis team is 4-6 and will play its Midwest Conference opener against Ripon College (0-6) on Saturday. The home match for Lake Forest will take place at the Racine Tennis Club in Racine, Wisconsin, and the Foresters will be looking to extend their five-match winning streak against the Red Hawks.
In addition to varsity athletic contests, Lake Forest will host the Area 13 Special Olympics Aquatics Meet on Saturday. Many of the College's student-athletes will serve as volunteers at the annual event. (More Info)
