The Forester men's basketball team looks to retain at least a share of first place in the Midwest Conference while playing a pair of games on the road this week.

Lake Forest posted a pair of victories last week, including a 69-64 triumph over Ripon College on Saturday which raised their overall record on the year to 15-6 and MWC mark to 11-3. The Foresters will play at St. Norbert College (15-6, 10-4 MWC) Wednesday evening in the teams' first meeting of 2017-18. They will also look to finish off a season sweep of Cornell College (11-10, 6-8 MWC) on Saturday.

The Forester women's basketball team defeated Ripon 66-45 on Saturday to improve to 10-11 on the year. Lake Forest will take on St. Norbert (7-4) on Wednesday and will put its 8-6 conference record on the line at Cornell (14-5, 10-2 MWC) on Saturday. The Foresters defeated the Rams 77-72 when they met in Lake Forest in December.

The only home contest of the week for the Foresters is Friday night's men's hockey game against Aurora University. Lake Forest split a pair of games at home last weekend, falling 2-1 to Adrian College, the top-ranked team in the nation, on Friday before defeating Trine University on Saturday. The Foresters are now 12-10-1 overall and 9-6-1 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play games. After hosting the Spartans on Friday, the team close out the regular season at Aurora (5-14-4, 4-11-1 NCHA) on Saturday.

The Forester women's hockey team has two weeks remaining in the regular season. The squad is 13-8-0 overall and 11-3-0 in the NCHA after sweeping Northland College 7-1 and 4-2 at home last weekend. Lake Forest will travel to St. Norbert College (8-10-3, 8-4-2 NCHA) for games this Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

The Lake Forest track team will also be in action on Friday at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet. Three different Foresters won events this past Saturday at Ripon College's Red Hawk Invitational, where the Lake Forest men placed fifth and the women seventh.

Friday will be the first of three days of competition for the Foresters at the Circle City Handball Tournament. The team has hosted singles invitational events each of the last two weekends and will be looking for another strong showing in Indianapolis this weekend. Seniors Leo Canales and Kyra Vidas were the runners-up in singles and champions in doubles at the tournament last year.

After starting its season with 9-0 victories over Elmhurst College and Wisconsin-Lutheran College last weekend, the Forester men's tennis team will take on host Carthage College (1-1) and Edgewood College (2-1) at the Racine Tennis Club this Saturday. Lake Forest defeated Edgewood but fell to Carthage last year.
