The Forester men's soccer team will take on St. Norbert College in the semifinals of the Midwest Conference Tournament on Friday.

Lake Forest is the #3 seed in the tournament after finishing the regular season with a conference record of 7-2-0. St. Norbert posted an 8-0-1 record in league play and shared the 2017 MWC title with Knox College, the host of this weekend's event. The Green Knights edged out the Foresters 2-1 in De Pere, Wisconsin, earlier this season to decrease Lake Forest's lead in the all-time series between the two teams to 23-20-4. Friday's winner will advance to Saturday afternoon's tournament final against either Knox or Grinnell College.

The Forester cross country team will also compete on Friday at the Viking Trials. The event is an annual 3200-meter race between Lake Forest and host North Park University. The Forester men are coming off a third-place finish at last Saturday's MWC Championship Meet while the women were fifth.

The Lake Forest hockey teams began their 2017-18 seasons last weekend and will start Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play this Friday and Saturday. The men, who doubled up the University of Wisconsin-Superior 4-2 and fell 3-2 in overtime to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, will travel to Northland College this Friday and the College of St. Scholastica on Saturday. Those teams played each other last weekend with St. Scholastica coming out on top 3-2 and 4-1.

The Forester women's hockey team, which opened the season ranked eighth in the nation, dropped a pair of one-goal games to #10 University of St. Thomas last weekend. Lake Forest will play at Concordia University Wisconsin this Friday and Saturday. The Falcons split their first two games of the year.

The Lake Forest football team had it's 12-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of Monmouth College on Saturday. The Foresters will take their 7-1 overall record and 3-1 mark in MWC South Division play to Illinois College this week. The Blueboys are also 3-1 in the division, making the game a battle for second place in the division ahead of the season-ending MWC Championship Week on November 11. The teams did not play one another last season and the all-time series is split 16-16.

The only home event of the week is the Forester swimming and diving team's dual meet with Carroll University. Lake Forest was defeated by visiting Carthage College in last Saturday's season opener and are looking to even their record this week. It will also be the team's Alumni Day and several members of past Forester teams will be in attendance.
