On Friday, June 16, the Lake Forest College Athletic Department hosted the 22nd Annual F.A.N. Club Golf Outing. The event was held at White Deer Run Golf Course in Vernon Hills, Illinois.
The 2017 golf outing was held on a gorgeous day and had yet another fantastic turnout in golfers with 136 participants. Those who played in the outing took part in several fun on-course contests including longest drive, straightest drive and closest to the pin. Participants also had the chance to better their scores by allowing Athletic Director Jackie Slaats to put for them! The course was filled not only with golfers, but ardent supporters and a contagious spirit and pride for Forester Athletics!
Following the round of golf, participants gathered in the reception area of the clubhouse to enjoy a dinner buffet and to take part in a raffle and both live and silent auctions. Features included vacation packages to Pebble Beach, San Francisco, Pinehurst, and Keystone as well as a framed Sports Illustrated cover of Anthony Rizzo paired with an autographed World Series baseball. The silent auction contained tickets to Chicago Cubs games, special wine and hotel packages, unique golf bundles to exclusive courses, and a framed and signed Jonathan Toews shadow box, to name a few.
