A men's golf tournament and softball doubleheader on Saturday make up the entire week of Forester Athletics.
The Lake Forest College men's golf team will compete in the Wisconsin Lutheran College Spring Invitational on Saturday. The event will be played at Morningstar Golfers Club in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where the Foresters tied for eighth place in a 15-team field last year. Lake Forest placed fifth out of 19 teams in its last event, the 36-hole Prairie Fire Classic, two weeks ago.
The Forester softball team is coming off a doubleheader sweep of visiting Grinnell College on Sunday and is now 12-12 overall and 3-3 in Midwest Conference play this season. The team will travel to Appleton, Wisconsin, to take for a pair of league games at Lawrence University on Saturday. The Vikings are also 12-12 overall but 3-5 in the conference. Lake Forest owns a 40-13 advantage in the all-time series between the two programs and has defeated Lawrence in each of their last four meetings.
