The Lake Forest College Athletics Department, in conjunction with the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA) is excited to host the seventh annual "The Sleds Are Coming" event on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
Each year this exciting event is held to bring exposure to the association and showcase its sled hockey program. It's also an opportunity for community members, students, and staff members to watch a talented group of athletes with great strength and coordination compete while cheering loudly for their favorite team!
The event will feature Chuck-A-Puck, a mascot shoot-out between "Boomer" and the Chicago Wolves mascot, "Skates," and an on-ice competition featuring members of the GLASA Falcons. Additionally, raffle prizes and a silent auction will take place.
The program is free and open to the public. Donations are encouraged in order to support GLASA and raise funds for the GLASA Falcons Sled Hockey Team.
