The Forester basketball teams will look to rebound from a tough weekend at Illinois College on Wednesday.
Both squads are coming off loss at Cornell College and Grinnell College last weekend and are 1-2 in Midwest Conference play this season. The women own a 2-4 record overall and will be taking on an Illinois College team that is 4-2 overall and atop the league standings with a 3-0 mark in MWC play. The Foresters won last year's only meeting 63-59 in Jacksonville, Illinois, and are 29-13 all-time against the Lady Blues.
The Forester men will enter Wednesday's game 1-5 overall while Illinois College sits at 1-4 overall and 0-3 in conference play. Lake Forest has won the last two match-ups against the Blueboys, including an 87-72 triumph on the road last season. The Foresters have taken 36 of the program's 57 previous meetings with Illinois College.
Wednesday night's games are the last for any Lake Forest team until the women's basketball team plays in the Arizona Shootout and the men in Cal Lutheran's Thrivent Financial Tournament December 29-30.
