Lake Forest's Athletic Facilities Lauded by Princeton Review

The Princeton Review released its 25th Annual College Rankings on August 30 and Lake Forest College was highly-rated in a pair of important categories.

Lake Forest was listed 18th in the "Best Athletic Facilities" category. The basis for the rankings was an 80-question survey filled out by 143,000 college students from the institutions included in the The Best 381 Colleges, published earlier in the month. A $17-million, 65,000-square-foot addition to the Lake Forest College Sports and Recreation Center was completed in 2010 and several other enhancements have been made since then to the softball field, tennis courts, Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse (ice rink), and Farwell Field (football, soccer).

The College also came in at number 17 on the publication's "Happiest Students" list.

"We are incredibly proud and excited to have had our athletic facilities recognized amongst the best in the nation," began Lake Forest College Director of Athletics Jackie Slaats. "It's also affirming, yet not surprising, to learn that our students are ranked in happiness!"
