Lake Forest College will host the 2016 Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) Soccer Showcase this weekend. The other six in-season sports will also be in action.

The men's and women's teams from Coe College, Lawrence University, and Macalester College will be on campus for the ACM Soccer Showcase. The Foresters will host Macalester Friday afternoon with the men (0-2-0, 0-0-0 MWC) kicking off at 1:30 and the women (2--0-0, 0-0-0 MWC) at 4:00. All four schools will play on Saturday with the men at 10:30 a.m. and the women at 1:00 p.m. Lake Forest and Coe will be on Farwell Field while Macalester will take on Lawrence on the grass field behind Memorial Fieldhouse. The Coe and Lawrence men will play Sunday morning at 10:30 and the women from both schools will close out the weekend at 1:00 in the afternoon.
The Forester men's soccer team will also be in action at Carthage College Wednesday night at 7:00.
The first contest of the week will occur in the Lake Forest College Sports and Recreation Center, where the Forester volleyball team (1-3, 0-0 MWC) will host Trinity International University Tuesday night at 7:00. Lake Forest will also compete in the Barker Chevrolet Classic at Illinois Wesleyan University over the weekend, taking on Coe Friday night at 7:30 and both William Woods University (noon) and MacMurray College (2:00 p.m.) on Saturday.
After winning the men's competition and placing fourth out of 14 teams on the women's side in last Saturday's Tom Barry Invitational, the Forester cross country teams will travel to Aurora University for the Spartan Classic on Friday. The women's 6-kilometer race will begin at 5:00 p.m. and the men's 8-kilometer competition will follow at 5:45 at Oakhurst Forest Preserve in Aurora, Illinois.
The Forester men's golf team will make its 2016-17 debut at Carthage College's Tim Kopka Memorial Tournament this weekend. Teams will tee off at 1:00 Friday and Saturday at Randall Oaks Golf Club in West Dundee, Illinois.
The women's golf team is also competing in a two-day event this weekend. They will travel to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, for the Marian Invite at Whispering Spring Golf Club. Saturday's opening round will begin at noon and play on Sunday will start at 9:00 a.m. Lake Forest placed ninth out of 16 teams at Carthage's Shootout on the Border last weekend.
Fresh off a 34-20 season-opening victory over visiting Beloit College last Saturday, the Forester football team will travel to Northfield, Minnesota, for another non-conference game at Carleton College this Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
The Forester women's tennis team is off to a 2-0 start and will begin Midwest Conference play at home on Saturday. Lake Forest will host Grinnell College at 9:00 a.m. and Cornell College at 3:00 p.m.
