Lake Forest College is proud to host the 2016 Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) Soccer Showcase the weekend of September 9-11. In addition to the Forester men's and women's teams, the event will feature their counterparts from fellow ACM members Coe College, Lawrence University, and Macalester College.

The eight teams combined for a .611 winning percentage and a pair of conference championships last season. In addition, two of the squads advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

The first game of the weekend will be Friday afternoon at 1:30 and will feature the Macalester and Lake Forest men. Dan Andrews led Lake Forest to a 13-7-1 overall record last year, his first as the team's head coach. The Foresters prevailed in seven of 10 Midwest Conference (MWC) games to qualify for the four-team MWC Tournament and won the event to earn a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament field.

Macalester had the strongest showing of the men's teams in 2015, posting a 14-2-5 overall record and capturing the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) title with an 8-0-2 mark in league play. The Scots qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament, where head coach Gregg Olson's team advanced to the second round and raised his four-year record at Macalester to 37-29-10.

The Lake Forest women will host Macalester Friday at 4:00 p.m. The Foresters were 14-3-2 overall under head coach T.R. Bell in 2015 and captured their second straight MWC championship with a 9-0-1 mark in conference play. Bell enters his 20th season at the helm of the program with a career record of 213-120-12.

The Lake Forest teams will host Coe on Saturday on Farwell field, with the men kicking off at 10:30 in the morning and the women at 1:00 p.m. Coe's men were 6-13-1 overall and 2-5-0 in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) in 2015. While Lake Forest and Coe are playing each other, Macalester and Lawrence will be doing the same on the College's grass field, located approximately a block or so east of Farwell and just behind Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse. Lawrence's men were 4-13-1 overall and 3-7-0 in the MWC last year.
