On Friday, June 11, the Lake Forest College athletic department held its annual F.A.N. Club Golf Outing. The event was completely set a record for number of participants in our annual outing with 151 registered golfers, including a great mix of alumni, corporate partners, friends of the College, and staff and coaches. Even with extreme heat, we were fortunate to host this special Tradition of Excellence and to complete another exceptional outing. You can check out pictures from this year’s outing here.

Established in 1995, the mission of the F.A.N. Club is to promote school spirit, increase attendance at sporting events, and build enthusiasm for Forester Athletics. The F.A.N. Club also hosts social activities, supports athletic alumni outreach, and keeps members informed about upcoming events, season results, and other news regarding Forester Athletics.
The F.A.N. Club also raises funds that greatly enhance the College’s athletic programs. Among the many annual improvements made are the updating of equipment and replacement of team uniforms on a rotating basis. Below are several other special initiatives the F.A.N. Club has helped make possible:
• Forester Game Plan career planning for student athletes
• NCAA and conference championship banners to honor our teams
• Championship monuments and facility landscaping
• New portable press box and bleachers to increase seating capacity at several outdoor athletic venues
• New scoreboards for football/soccer, softball, and basketball/volleyball
• Upgraded photography and webcasting equipment, including cameras, camcorders, and computers
• Athletic training room and weight room enhancements
• Strength and conditioning certification for coaches
• Software to assist student-athletes with strength and conditioning workouts
• Access to new recruiting resources and scouting software
The success of our Forester teams, the school spirit and pride we proudly boast today, and the invaluable enhancements listed above all play an important role in continuing our Tradition of Excellence in Forester Athletics.
