This Week in the Forest: #ForesterFamily

We hope that all of our Forester Family is doing well and keeping safe and healthy during this time. We're thinking of all our student-athletes, coaches, staff, alumni, F.A.N. Club members, and friends far and wide who are being affected by the coronavirus.

As uncertain and tumultuous as these times have been, there's been a great show of connection, creativity, and care in many different ways. The Forester Family continues to highlight what makes us so strong: each other.

Assistant football and track coach Albert Greene has his son and daughter running through different workouts, some of which he shared on his Twitter.

The women's basketball team (courtesy of their head coach Tam Tills and assistant coaches Kaliann Rikard and Amanda Barger) have been featuring each of their players in video posts on their social media platforms.

Head volleyball coach Katie Rueffer recently had a Zoom chat with her whole team to check in and brainstorm ways to keep connected during the quarantine.

Alum Matt Helderman, '11 shared via LinkedIn the TEDx Pepperdine talk that he did a few years ago called "Call Your Mom," which is full of insight and heartfelt advice for cultivating personal connection and deepening relationships.

Head women's soccer coach TR Bell, '96 is keeping his kids (and himself) entertained by "traveling" around the world; they recently stopped in France and made crepes!

In the coming weeks, we will continue to highlight ways that the Foresters are staying connected and strong through this crisis. We'd love to see what you're doing! Use the hashtag #ForesterFamily and tag @foresterathletics (Instagram) and @LFAthletics (Twitter) in your posts so that we can see what you're up to with your friends and family.
