The Forester Game Plan: A Competitive Edge in Careers

At Lake Forest College, dedicated coaches, staff, faculty, alumni, and family and friends of the College are committed to giving student-athletes ACCESS to career preparation and post-graduate success.

In order to help student-athletes begin thinking about the next phase in their careers, the Department of Athletics and the Career Advancement Center lead student-athletes through a four-year career preparation program called the Forester Game Plan.

The focus of the program – much like a pre-season and/or pre-game plan for any sports team – is on preparing student-athletes for success in the workforce or graduate school, and ultimately, in life.

Four senior student-athletes Sal Gloria (men’s soccer), Jo Hendriksen (women’s soccer), Cam McGuire (men’s golf), and Diamond Owens (softball) share their personal stories about how the Forester Game Plan gave them an edge over their competition in the job market.
