National Girls and Women in Sports Day Coming to Lake Forest College

Lake Forest College is excited to once again be an active participant in the 31st annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day. This year's program will be held on Sunday, February 19, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sports and Recreation Center.

Registration begins at 12:15 p.m. and activities will run from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Participants will rotate through a series of stations featuring volleyball, running, basketball, tennis, soccer, and cheerleading. Throughout the program, participants will have the opportunity to receive guidance and tips from current Lake Forest College student-athletes about how they can perfect their skillset and develop healthy habits outside of athletics.

National Girls and Women in Sports Day was first recognized by Congress in 1987 to highlight the positive influence that sports have on the lives of women and girls. We invite you to join Lake Forest College in celebrating past and current achievements of girls and women in sport on Sunday, February 19.

The event is free and open to young women ages 6-14. Click here to register.
