Softball player Leslie Harshey was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after posting a .480 batting average with a double, triple, home run, and eight RBI in seven games.

Harshey, a junior outfielder, had at least one base hit in each of the team's five games at the Midwest Conference Classic over the weekend. On Saturday she was 2-for-4 and drove in a run in a victory over Carroll University before collecting a career-high four base hits and five runs batted in during a triumph over Lawrence University. She finished off the day with two hits and two runs scored in a win over Beloit College. Lake Forest fell to Ripon College and St. Norbert College on Sunday, despite Harshey's 3-for-6 performance in the two games combined. She belted her second home run of the season in the first game of the day.

The Foresters split a doubleheder with visiting Elmhurst College on Wednesday. Harshey doubled and scored the team's only run in the seventh inning of the opener before having her seven-game hitting streak snapped in game two.

Harshey was 12-for-25 on the week and is now hitting .333 on the season. She leads Lake Forest with 18 runs batted in.
