Men's tennis player Ryan Kreis was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after winning in both singles and doubles play during three Lake Forest victories the previous Thursday and Friday.
Kreis, a freshman, won 8-6 at #2 doubles and 6-1, 6-0 at #1 singles in the Foresters' 5-4 triumph at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Thursday.
On Saturday the Foresters defeated Schreiner University 8-1 and host Southwestern University 7-2. Kries prevailed 8-1 in doubles and 6-0, 6-0 in singles against Schreiner before registering an 8-2 doubles victory and 6-2, 6-0 triumph in singles against Southwestern.
Kreis is now 7-3 in both singles and doubles play this season.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
