Men's basketball player Jeff Beck was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after averaging 16 points per game during a pair of victories the previous weekend.
Beck, a sophomore guard, scored the winning point on a free throw with 0.6 seconds remaining in Friday night's 58-57 victory over Ripon College. He finished the game with 14 points and added three assists and a pair of steals.
The next day Beck tied for team-high honors with 18 points while shooting 6-for-7 from the field and 5-for-5 from the free throw line in the Foresters' 63-49 triumph over Beloit College. He also chipped in with four rebounds and two more steals.
Beck shot 68.8 percent from the floor in the two games combined. He ranks second on the team this season at 11.4 point per contest and leads the squad in assists.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
